Secret Lives of Objects

This new line of fiction "Secret Lives of Objects" was created with the idea of bringing ancient Egyptian objects to life. Rather than simply viewing them as items of beauty, or for their religious or historical significance I wanted to look at the sentimental value they would have held. Think about your favourite posession. Often it is your favourite not because of who made it, where or how, but rather because of what you were doing when you bought it, who gave it to you or what it reminds you of. I believe the same is true of ancient Egyptian objects. Although we can never know for sure what significance each object held, we can imagine, and this can bring us closer to these wonderful, fascinating people. If you have any objects that you like and want to know their secret life (fictional of course) let me know
